Supporters of People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD) in Songkhla and Phuket blocked entrances of the Hat Yai and Phuket international airports on Friday afternoon to demand that the government do not use force to break up the rally at the Government House in Bangkok.

Hundreds of anti-government supporters gathered at both airports and tried to set up stages to demand that the government end its attempt to disperse the protesters in Bangkok.

Flights to and from both airports operate as normal as protesters did not enter the grounds of both airports.

Police were negotiating with protesters with the hope that they unblock the entrances.
